About Ultimate Vocal Remover
Splits a finished song back into stems — vocals, drums, bass, and the rest — using models you run on your own machine. Bundles Demucs v3 and v4, MDX-Net, MDX23C, and the VR architecture, and lets you ensemble several models together, which is what gets the cleanest separation. UVR's developers trained most of the bundled models themselves; the Demucs 4-stem models come from Meta's research. Everything processes locally, so no uploads and no per-track fee, though a weak GPU means waiting. Worth knowing before you install: the last release, v5.6, shipped in September 2023, so it works but is not actively updated.
